Hey, I'm Jake Zemeckis! I’m a writer and RPG player. I also love playing the ukulele. I think bards are pretty cool, and I’m a fan of Soulslike content and JRPGs.
I published quite a few books (mainly in the dark fantasy genre, under a different name) from 2015 to 2020, when I burned out and slowly quit the business.
Quitting writing isn't quick or easy. It creeps on you. Days with no writing become years. You always hope to come back and continue, until that hope starts to grate.
In 2025, I finally closed the last door to that part of my life. No bridges burned, just doors closed, but it finally cemented my decision.
However, as any writer will tell you, the only thing worse than writing is not writing. I started playing solo TTRPGs to exercise my creativity and get back into the groove.
It worked incredibly well. It also reignited my love for TTRPGs, which I hadn’t played since I was a teenager.
I write actual plays here, rolling dice, making choices, and creating stories. Hope you enjoy it!
