Savage Hunter - Fan Maps
Hey, everyone! I've started playing and learning Savage Worlds with Savage Hunter, a third party project based on the Monster Hunter franchise.
I'm really loving the game and decided to create some maps for it. In case it helps anyone else, I've put them on Itch for free.

For now, I've only done a hexmap of the Pearl Coast and two generic battlemaps to use in it using the region's biomes: a beach and a swamp.
A brief intro to Savage Hunter
Savage Hunter is a "Paleopunk" fantasy setting for Savage Worlds set on the isolated landmass of Grand Isle. We play as hunters whose duty is to protect local settlements and maintain ecological balance against massive monsters.
The setting draws inspiration from Copper Age aesthetics and prehistoric wildlife.
- Tracking: Hunters prepare by studying monster weaknesses and tracking target creatures across Grand Isle's diverse biomes.
- Hunting: In battle, hunters target specific creature parts using Called Shots. Inflicting enough damage breaks a part, which alters the monster's stat block to weaken it and unlocks extra harvesting opportunities.
This is a highly simplified overview. There are several tactical aspects to combat, not least of which is the choice of equipment. - Harvesting: Once the creature is defeated, hunters harvest materials (Fiber, Haft, Plate, and Essence) across four rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Mythic.
- Crafting: Hunters return to base to forge harvested parts into custom weapons, armor, and specialized gear to prepare for tougher hunts.
There's a lot more to Savage Hunter than that, but that's the core of it.
I hope the maps help you enjoy this absolutely fantastic game.
